A member of the Product Development department, a food service and healthcare product division at Lyons Magnus, an international food and beverage manufacturer headquartered in Fresno, California. The Lab Technician is responsible for support in the areas of product development and related activities
Pay: $24.00 per hour
Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Location: Fresno, CA

Core Responsibilities:
- Supports the mission, values and vision of the company.
- Maintains the best interest of Lyons Magnus first and foremost.
- Works with employees of Lyons Magnus in a positive and constructive manner to maintain a professional relationship and demonstrates courtesy, discretion, friendliness, and diplomacy.
- Works within a team environment to share information and help others as needed.· Analyzes sensory, chemical and physical characteristics of lab, pilot plant and production samples using a refractometer, pH meter, viscometer and other instruments.
- Supports Product Development scientist, technologist and pilot plant activities.
- Plans and conducts a complete project of significant scope.
- Communicates results of tasks in oral and written form.
- Often trains other technicians in variety of complex techniques.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Skilled in MS Excel Spreadsheets and Word Documents and other basic computer skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative
- Ability to handle complex duties and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
- Knowledge of food and beverage manufacturing processes
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 2–5 years of related experience
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of food and beverage manufacturing operations, including experience with kettle mixers, scales, and micro lab processes
