POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Manager elevates brand awareness, audience engagement, and creative initiatives to amplify Roundup River Ranch’s impact. This role develops and executes purposeful marketing campaigns that enhance visibility, foster meaningful connections, and shares our story to new audiences. Key responsibilities include overseeing content and messaging across various platforms, supporting fundraising initiatives and events, enhancing program materials, managing digital and social media content, and strengthening brand reputation across all areas of the organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Key Responsibilities: Marketing
- Manage all marketing and promotional initiatives, ensuring the creation and distribution of organizational collateral, promotional content, and advertising placements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development of materials for development campaigns, fundraising events, onsite and outreach programs, and camper and volunteer recruitment.
- Work closely with the Chief Marketing Officer to develop annual strategies and plans related to marketing, communications, digital advertising, video, and public relations.
- Build the brand and grow awareness of the camp locally and regionally, with a growing emphasis on the Denver Metro area and beyond.
- In partnership with the Marketing Team, develop and implement the process for managing the Roundup River Ranch website. Oversee regular updates to content, functionality, and other key website elements to ensure an optimal user experience.
- Work closely with the Marketing Coordinator to develop and design e-communications, including targeted email campaigns and a monthly digital eNewsletter, ensuring content is tailored to specific audiences.
- In partnership with the Marketing Coordinator, oversee content collection year-round of programs for marketing materials (session summaries, impact report, emails, appeals, website, etc.)
- Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to manage social media strategy and budget, ensuring content effectively engages, informs, and highlights all our audiences.
- Manage the production of Roundup River Ranch video projects in collaboration with the Marketing team.
- Oversee and actively contribute to acquiring materials from camp, including stories and images, to effectively showcase and communicate the mission and experiences of Roundup River Ranch.
- Review of key materials produced by other staff members to ensure that messages are on brand and consistent with other language used. Provide feedback and support updates as needed.
- In collaboration with Marketing Coordinator, continually seek to improve the materials produced and the presence maintained while supporting all staff with marketing needs.
- Procure and coordinate Roundup River Ranch merchandise with support from the Marketing Coordinator, including giveaways, swag for cross-departmental use, and Camp Store items, with the goal of enhancing Roundup River Ranch's visibility in communities we serve.
- Work with the programs team on new and updated branded signage in and around the campsite.
- Support camper Alumni Programs as it relates to Marketing needs in conjunction with programs staff.
- In conjunction with Marketing Coordinator, oversee image and video library (Google, Dropbox, Mastershare) to secure acquisition of new programs/event photos, and b-roll from staff, photographers, etc.
Development/Special Events
- Lead Event Marketing meetings biweekly during event season to manage project timelines.
- Support the marketing and communications efforts of all special events and fundraising initiatives.
- Develop/design all necessary event materials in collaboration with Development team members and Marketing Coordinator.
- Working with Development staff, support sponsorship recognition efforts to ensure all sponsors receive appropriate visibility and acknowledgment.
- Collaborate with the Development team to support donor signage and recognition initiatives around camp.
- In conjunction with development staff, produce marketing collateral that will support donor cultivation and stewardship.
- Manage/create the annual (impact) report, stewardship reports, proof of performance, and other key materials for donors.
- Support/implement the creation of presentations, templates, and other collateral for fundraising staff.
- Support direct mail and electronic appeal campaigns with Marketing/Development team members.
Communications
- Supervise and refine the creation of camp communications, recruitment materials, and publications targeted at external audiences – this includes ensuring the effectiveness of both camper and volunteer communications.
- Assist in maintaining the monthly editorial calendar in collaboration with the Chief Marketing Officer, adjusting as needed to accommodate unexpected opportunities or changes.
- Utilize multiple communications tools and vehicles to tell the story of Roundup River Ranch in an engaging and informative manner, including strong calls-to-action where appropriate.
- Oversee the social media content plan with Marketing Coordinator to ensure it aligns with editorial calendar.
- Review materials developed by others to ensure message remains on brand.
- Collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer and external consultants/partners, as needed, to support the execution of marketing materials and public relations articles aimed at engaging and informing target audiences.
- Assist in the development of talking points and other tools to help prepare key stakeholders for interviews.
- Serve as a marketing contact for media visits at camp, coordinating with camp staff, camper families, and others as needed to execute a visit that puts campers first while achieving desired media outcomes.
Management of Marketing Team
- Oversee and manage the Marketing Coordinator, the full-time fellowship marketing staff member; and seasonal staff marketing as applicable with team.
- Assign and delegate tasks to the Marketing Coordinator, Marketing Fellowship staff member as appropriate, across the full range of marketing and activities to ensure efficient and effective completion of projects.
- Support Volunteer Photographers and Photography where applicable.
- Support the needs of marketing team and encourage continued professional growth and satisfaction.
Other duties as assigned.

- Sense of innovation that will support advancement of Roundup River Ranch’s marketing and communication strategies.
- Extremely strong interpersonal skills, particularly regarding the judgment, discretion, confidentiality, and understanding necessary for dealing effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Independence; a strong team orientation toward both internal and external constituencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
- Five years’ experience working in a marketing environment. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of the nonprofit field, graphic design experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Experience with WordPress or similar website content management system
- Experience with Constant Contact or similar email marketing service

Benefits: This full-time, year-round position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including 100% subsidized health, vision and dental insurance for employee only coverage, our Wellness Benefit Program with a value of $1,000 and a 403(b) retirement plan with a 3% employer match. Employees are eligible for 20 days (160 hours) of PTO in their first year, in addition to 10 paid public holidays.
