H&H Project Manager
Description

Are you ready to make an impact? At DCCM, we are shaping the future of Texas infrastructure by tackling critical stormwater and flood risk challenges that affect communities, businesses, and public agencies. From designing bridge hydraulics and roadway drainage to conducting watershed master planning, floodplain mapping, and scour analysis, our Hydrology & Hydraulics (H&H) team delivers innovative and resilient engineering solutions.

As a Project Manager in our Hydrology & Hydraulics (H&H) Department, you will lead the planning, design, and execution of complex water resources and stormwater infrastructure projects. You’ll work directly with clients, public agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions that enhance flood resilience and improve communities across Texas. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys combining technical expertise with leadership and project management responsibilities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the design and delivery of H&H projects, including roadway drainage, storm sewer systems, flood mitigation, and watershed master plans.
  • Oversee hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis using HEC-RAS (1D & 2D), HEC-HMS, XP-SWMM, GIS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Direct project schedules, budgets, and scopes to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality project delivery.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, construction documents, cost estimates, and permitting packages.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, providing guidance and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with subconsultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to secure approvals and resolve project challenges.
  • Support business development through proposal preparation, client presentations, and participation in professional associations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering, with a focus on water resources, hydrology, or hydraulics.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas required.
  •  6–10 years of experience in H&H or municipal stormwater design and project management.
  • Proficiency with HEC-RAS (1D & 2D), HEC-HMS, GIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and related design software.
  • In-depth understanding of FEMA, TxDOT, and local agency design standards and permitting processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, lead teams, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
