Description

Job Purpose

  • The Remote Health Care Practitioner (RHCP) will provide services to XstremeMD (XMD) clients and will strive to provide these services in a compassionate, professional, ethical, and knowledgeable fashion.
  • Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient’s status, plan of care, and goal achievement.
  • To provide qualified medical support to the organization, ensuring all team medical needs are met. RHCPs are expected to give equal consideration to health, safety, environment, cost, and people in their daily operations.
  • Fill staffing discrepancies, vacant positions and pop-up jobs within both the Offshore and Land division of XMD.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Provide efficient health care service utilizing the resources available

  • Assist physicians in all aspects of patient care while on project.
  • Provide medical welfare and management for all personnel on site.
  • Perform biometric testing as required or requested by the client.
  • Remain compliant, proficient, and familiar with all requirements (policies, procedures, protocols) for XMD, the client, and regulatory agencies governing the assigned location.
  • Remain compliant, proficient, and familiar with all reporting requirements for XMD, the client, and regulatory agencies governing the assigned location.
  • Maintain patient records within the dedicated Electronic Medical Record system incompliance with all rules and regulations governing patient medical data and patient personal information security.
  • Work with case managers to facilitate medical care for clients.
  • Assist client with development and maintenance of onsite Medical Emergency Response Plans (MERP)
  • Perform DOT & Non-DOT drug and alcohol collections
  • Maintains competency in use of all onsite telemedicine, laboratory, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform Occupational testing to include audiometry, PFT, and Respiratory Fit Testing in XMD Land clinics
  • Monitor any ongoing illness or injury with patient follow ups.
  • Ensure all follow ups are completed and documented in a timely manner.
  • Maintain offshore sick bay, clinic and equipment to a high standard.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Maintain inventory of medications, supplies, and equipment according to XMD policies, geographical requirements, and client requirements.
  • Maintains good communication and interpersonal relations with client representatives, XMD staff, and crew members.
  • Participates and contributes to all onsite safety meetings. 
  • Assist in performing and documenting daily/weekly/monthly inspections of equipment and materials as per XMD, client, local and international regulations. 
  • Participate in client approved and recommended training as required. 
  • Maintain regulatory compliance related to function in job. 
  • Treat all coworkers, clients, and patients with fairness, respect, and professionalism. 
  • Occasional on-site and off-site client testing and education/training per client request. 
  • Conduct any additional training or perform other tasks as required by the client. 
  • Cleaning of clinic spaces as required and/or needed


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS


  • 3 years of experience in ambulance or emergency room setting 
  • 1 year of industrial medical experience in a remote medical environment 
  • Working knowledge of HSEQ practices, rules, and regulations common to the industry and geographic location 
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety protocols 
  • Leadership and teamwork skills/behaviors which support team-based operations 
  • Effective written and oral communications skills 
  • Ability to understand and react with a diverse group or operation 
  • Ability to work efficiently, both independently and as part of a healthcare team
  • Proficient computer skills 
  • Experience utilizing electronic medical records
  • Medical Fit for Duty in accordance with XMD, client, and geographic requirements
  • Experience in the offshore and or occupational medicine industries are a plus
