Position Overview
The General Manager’s job is to meet the profit plan for their store while accomplishing our company mission! You are expected to ensure your store is consistently delivering a Customer Experience that meets our standards by successfully leading and managing your staff.
Essential Job Functions
Leadership
- Maintain a successful and productive staff by teaching, encouraging and disciplining when necessary
- Provide clear expectations and direction and give frequent and direct feedback to staff by means of:
- Regular 1 on 1 conversations
- Annual performance appraisals
- Corrective Action Documentation when required
Sales
- Recruit and hire new sales advisors
- Create a storewide weekly email to communicate previous week’s results
- Observe sales advisors and provide feedback as needed regarding how they can improve their sales presentations
- Assist buyers with maintenance of product mins and bike mix
- Understand the Annual Sales Planner and optimize the sales team to consistently hit plan
- MOD – Properly quarterback the sales floor to ensure all customers are served exceeding well
- Execute our Rules of Customer Service to resolve all customer conflicts or complaints
Financial
- Understand the store profit plan and know the levers of profitability
- Manage your payroll though effective schedule planning based on your scheduling guidelines
- Increase margins by increasing ABP and IPS while preventing unauthorized discounting
- Encourage your sales advisors to drive sales of high margin products
Tech
- Understand Tech goals and work with the Tech Manager to achieve them.
- Direct the Tech Manager to ensure quality of the Tech personnel.
- Assist the Tech Manager in performance appraisals of Technicians.
Operations
- Direct the Assistant Manager to ensure all tasks are being completed on time
- Investigate any serious inventory inaccuracies
- Foster a culture where inventory accuracy is imperative
- Execute all ops assignments on time and accurately
General
- Maintain store schedules at least two weeks out providing proper coverage
- Ensure effective communication by conducting morning huddles each day, maintaining a store Google Chat, conducting store meetings, and participating on the GM call
- Execute required reporting on the GM call and at GM meetings
Accountabilities
- Hold daily morning huddles
- Check in with TM and AM weekly
- Special orders are placed accurately including all relevant notes
- Warranty items have all correct accompanying paperwork
- Sales staff who are not meeting their goals should be on an improvement plan
- Missed punches fixed by noon Monday on payroll week
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in daily count out
- Punctual attendance at all GM meetings, and calls
- Review each physical inventory and investigate serious discrepancies
- Investigate and solve all LS auto adds
- Continually push to improve Myagi completion %
- Maintain accurate and clean HubSpot board.

- Proven ability to plan and accomplish goals with a demonstrated history of growing businesses
- Strong coaching, development and performance feedback skills
- Strong leadership presence, including the ability to engender confidence and enthusiasm during periods of change
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and on-the-fly thinking to match the fast-moving shop environment.

Salary Description
$65,000-$70,000
