Description

Green and Spiegel U.S. seeks an Associate Attorney with 3–6 years of employment-based immigration experience to join our corporate immigration practice. The ideal candidate will have experience managing high-volume business immigration matters for corporate clients and be comfortable handling a significant caseload with increasing independence.


This position supports multinational and large corporate clients and requires strong organizational skills, sound legal judgment, responsiveness, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be comfortable serving as a primary legal contact for assigned accounts and collaborating with case managers, paralegals, and client stakeholders.


JOB DUTIES

  • Provide legal advice and case updates to clients, generally without direct guidance or supervision for routine matters.
  • Conduct or contribute to client consultations.
  • Accompany clients to interviews and similar in-person matters.
  • Formulate case strategy for assigned cases.
  • Oversee the production of case materials (drafts, filings, etc.)
  • Draft case matters as directed, including more difficult case materials that are not appropriate for drafting by support staff (RFE responses, complex fact patterns, etc.).
  • Function as a primary client point of contact (often in conjunction with Case Managers), in order to ensure that client communications are addressed quickly, efficiently, and in a manner that reflects positively on the firm.
  • Leading or participating in case status team meetings with legal support staff as needed and appropriate.
  • Examine and address questions or case issues raised by legal support staff and provide guidance for addressing same.
  • Function as a primary/final case reviewer for drafts/final submissions.
  • Maintain organized, legally-compliant client files.
  • Conduct legal research and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant developments in immigration law and agency practice.
  • Participate in required professional development activities.
  • Represent Green and Spiegel at client and industry functions, as directed.
Requirements

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • High-volume corporate immigration practice.
  • Managing large employer accounts with recurring NIV and IV matters.
  • H-1B, L-1A/L-1B, TN, E-3, O-1, PERM, I-140, and Adjustment of Status matters.
  • Drafting RFEs, NOIDs, complex legal support letters, and case strategy memoranda.
  • Advising HR, mobility, and business stakeholders on immigration strategy and compliance considerations.
  • Reviewing work product prepared by paralegals and case managers.
  • Managing deadlines across numerous active matters while maintaining exceptional client service.

Salary Description
$95,000-$125,000
