Position Summary:
Supports the Marketing Team by writing content, managing email communications, tracking marketing performance, and assisting with daily marketing operations across all markets to meet the Bank’s strategic marketing plan and objectives. This role is ideal for a strong communicator who enjoys organization, digital marketing tools, and helping execute campaigns, events, and community outreach from start to finish. The Coordinator ensures the Bank’s brand is consistently and accurately represented across digital, print, and in-person channels while contributing to a positive client and community experience. Understands and completes job responsibilities in accordance with federal and state regulations.
Essential Functions:
Email & Digital Marketing – 25%
- Creates, schedules, and sends marketing emails through email platform.
- Manages segmented email lists and supports compliance with opt in/opt out procedures.
- Tracks email performance (open rates, click through, conversions, etc.) and provides recommendations for improvement.
- Supports digital campaigns, including social media scheduling, basic graphic updates, and posting.
Content Writing & Communications – 20%
- Drafts and edits written content including client emails, newsletters, press releases, social posts, website copy, and internal communications.
- Supports the development of storytelling, campaign messaging, and content libraries.
- Ensures all communications reflect brand tone and compliance requirements.
Marketing Tracking & Reporting – 20%
- Monitors and reports on campaign performance, digital engagement, website analytics, and event ROI.
- Tracks competitor marketing and trends in the financial services industry.
- Assists in maintaining organized historical marketing archives.
Design & Production Support – 15%
- Assists with developing, editing, and preparing marketing materials for print and digital platforms.
- Distributes advertising materials and maintains advertising schedules.
Event & Community Engagement Support – 10%
- Assists with event planning, vendor coordination, and day-of logistics.
- Organizes materials and supports setup/teardown.
- Helps measure event success and documents post-event highlights.
- Coordinates, tracks, and reports on community giving requests and donations.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities 10%
- Assists with ad novelties: ordering, inventory management, and internal distribution.
- Assists with coworker marketing and social media training as needed.
- Provides tours of the Historic Downtown Winona Office.
- Serves as a community and Bank representative.
- Participates in internal and external training and development opportunities as required.

Regular contact with co-workers. Works periodically with clients. Regular contact with suppliers/vendors; occasional contact with community/trade/professional affiliations. Works regularly with highly confidential business and client information.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A degree or certification in marketing, communications, or related field required. Previous marketing or communications experience preferred. Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office required. Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail. Experience with email marketing platforms (Constant Contact preferred). Comfortable tracking metrics and working with data. Familiarity with financial institution products, operations, and procedures preferred. Must possess courteous and professional customer service attitude and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain the integrity of highly confidential client and Bank information. Must possess strong computer skills; technical ability to input and retrieve computerized information; knowledge of graphic design and web software; basic mathematical skills up to and including decimals; legible handwriting. Must be able to deal effectively with time pressures and stress that can change hourly depending on level of activity; effective problem solving and research skills. Must be a self-starter and independent thinker and meet goals as outlined by the Marketing Supervisor.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed largely in an office environment with minimal chance for personal injury. Occasional out-of-town and overnight business travel (air or auto) is required for business and education. Regular mental and visual concentration for computer usage required. Regular use of telephone. Frequent repetitive use of keyboard for approximately 7 hours per day. Requires ability to receive and provide detailed information through verbal and written communication. Requires near-, mid-range, and far vision; depth perception, color vision, and field of vision. Will alternate sitting, standing, and walking throughout work shift. Bend, turn, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds of documents, event/ad novelty items, office supplies. Hours of work are generally during regular business hours, but also include occasional nights and weekends for events. There will be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines, community events, and other concerns.
Equipment Used:
Operates personal computer in a Windows environment for word processing, spreadsheets, graphic design, web design, e-mail, internet, and other bank specific software. Operates core systems on Silverlake. Utilizes a variety of office equipment including computer, printer, ten-key calculator, copy machine, multi-line telephone, cart, digital camera, multi-media projector, paper cutter, and laminator.
