• Train clients to be independent with the goal of job acquisition, successful community integration, goal setting, and job readiness.

• Understand how to implement person-centered planning 

Act as a program monitor to assigned clients, providing advocacy as needed.

• Maintain a professional relationship with family members, employers, and funding sources.

• Develop and implement instructional plans, social skill training and provide interventions as needed.

• Complete all required documentation and reports,

• Maintain complete and accurate case files.

• Ensure compliance with safety and confidentiality.

• Acts as a mandated abuse reporter.

· Must be highly creative

· Knowledge in goal achievement/familiar with SMART GOALS/PERSON-CENTERED

We are hiring a temporary DSP who will provide support to clients via Zoom to foster and develop success in goal achievement and interests. The hours will be day shift, hours 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. (half-hour lunch non-paid, 10 minute break paid)

• MUST have a good working knowledge and experience in Microsoft WORD and Excel. You

 MUST know how to create and organize a database, and attach files to your email to send in. 

· High school diploma or GED

· MUST be willing to learn new skills

• Minimum of one year of related experience working with adults with developmental disabilities

• CPR and First Aid certifications, or willing to obtain within first 30 days of employment.

• Ability to understand and relate to individuals with disabilities, their families, the community

• Ability to observe, evaluate, document, and communicate verbally and in writing.

• Ability to teach good work habits and social skills to individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings.

• Ability to be flexible with scheduling and prioritization of tasks.

• Must pass CHP VDDP, Drug/Alcohol Test, Background

Must be proficient with word and excel. personal aptitude to solving problems, high intelligence, perseverance, orderliness, responsibility, drive toward and satisfaction at the attainment of goals, calmness and endurance under stressful conditions, consistency and predictability in the regular attendance to duty, individual initiative as well as participation in group efforts, correct estimation of specific circumstances and effective communications skills.

$16.90/per hour, 6 hours/day, Mon-Fri
