Summary:
Eagle Falls Golf Course Snack Bar Cashier/Attendant are expected to deliver truly great service, and to create a warm and friendly atmosphere for our guests. The attendant/cashier is generally the first employee that guests encounter when entering the snack bar so it is imperative that they greet all guests with a warm/genuine smile and welcome. Snack Bar restaurant employees must work well as a team, maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies and gaming regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Provides fast, friendly, professional and responsive customer service to snack bar guests and golf course staff.
- Engages in friendly conversations with guests whenever possible using the 10/5 rule: 10 feet-make eye contact and smile, 5 feet-greet and speak to guest.
- Provides personalized service and uses guest’s name whenever possible.
- Greets each guest with a warm smile and welcome as they enter the restaurant.
- Operates a cash register/POS system, ringing proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change; accounts for all cash, charge and complimentary sales according to established procedure; maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities.
- Keeps designated working area clean and organized, and assists in maintaining cleanliness of dining room, including host stand area, as necessary or required, in accordance with established health and safety standards.
- Resolves service issues according to service standards.
- Recognizes Diamond and Emerald Players and relays that information to other snack bar team members and management to ensure they receive the appropriate service.
- Thanks customers, invites them back, wishes them luck and makes it easy for them to get back in play.
- Delivers food items to seated guests tableside when required/practical and follows up within 4 minutes to determine level of guest satisfaction.
- Contacts appropriate food & beverage management in an acceptable time frame when there is a customer service issue that needs to be resolved
- Responsible for bussing, cleaning and setting tables as well as keeping the interior and outside surrounding areas of the Snack Bar clean, wiped down and free of debris.
- Operates and maintains equipment as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures.
- Completes assigned side work as directed.
- Uses suggestive selling techniques to build guest average checks.
- Knows all menu items and can answer any reasonable questions asked by guests with regard to food and beverage products, preparation style, portion sizes, main ingredients, sauce descriptions, etc.
- Monitors all food products and communicates frequently with culinary staff to ensure quality, quantity and freshness of food product at all times.
- Maintains the food items in the Snack Bar keeping all shelves, food display areas, work stations and counters clean, wiped down, sanitized, organized and presentable.
- Stocks all paper goods, condiment dispensers, beverages, food products, back counter areas, service stations and table tops according to established standards and guidelines.
- Assists in other food & beverage outlets as determined/requested by food & beverage management.
- Knows and promotes current casino events and programs and can give guests directions to all casino areas.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
- Must be 21 years of age
- High school diploma, GED or comparable experience
- Previous cashiering experience in a high volume, restaurant preferred
- Read, write, speak and understand English
- Should understand the basics with regards to the game of Golf so they can engage in casual conversation with Golf Course Snack Bar patrons.
- Must know and follow all safe food service, food handling, food storage, and sanitation rules, regulations, policies and procedures to ensure quality of product in a consistent manner.
- Must be familiar with food items served in respective outlet and be able to answer guest questions and offer recommendations based on guests’ preferences.
- Excellent customer service/communication skills.
- Must be comfortable and proficient in working with a POS terminal system and have previous experience handling cash, charge and comp transactions.
- Must be able to accurately and quickly process all cash, comp and charge transactions.
- Available to work required schedule which may include weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
- Must meet physical appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
- Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. (Cash drawer, cash register/POS supplies, tables and chairs).
- Must be able to pull or push 50 lbs. (Tables and chairs as required to provide appropriate seating arrangements for customers)
- Must be able to reach above and below the shoulder, grip small items (i.e., flatware, plates, cups, glasses), bend, stoop and twist while carrying restaurant stock to and from supply areas; able to reach across tables; able to stand and walk for up to 6 hours; able to use hand motions when cleaning and wiping counters and table tops
- Must be able to tolerate industry standard chemicals used for cleaning and sanitizing
- Able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, bright lights
- Able to work at a fast pace in an often crowded/noisy environment
- Must be able to maintain a neat, professional, well groomed appearance and uphold company appearance/dress standards
Work Environment:
Employees working the Casino or Bowling Center may be exposed to second-hand smoke and moderate levels of noise.
