Status: Non-Exempt | Hourly $15.16 + Gratuities 

Position Summary
The Server delivers attentive, personalized food and beverage service to members and guests, creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience. This role is responsible for order accuracy, product knowledge, and seamless coordination with the service team to uphold the high standards of hospitality at Glenmoor Country Club. 

Key Responsibilities 

Member Experience 

  • Greet members and guests warmly, using names whenever possible 
  • Provide friendly, professional, and anticipatory service throughout the meal 
  • Respond promptly to requests and accommodate special needs or preferences 
  • Build positive, ongoing relationships with member families through consistent, high-quality service 

Order Taking & Service 

  • Take accurate food and beverage orders 
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of menus, daily features, and beverage offerings 
  • Utilize Club Essential POS to enter orders correctly and efficiently 
  • Suggest and recommend food, wine, and specialty beverages 
  • Deliver food and drinks using proper service techniques and trays 
  • Provide wine and bottle service as appropriate 

Table & Station Management 

  • Maintain clean, organized server stations and dining areas 
  • Prepare garnishes and service items as needed 
  • Monitor tables to anticipate refills, clearing, and additional needs 
  • Complete opening, running, and closing side work 

Teamwork & Service Standards 

  • Communicate clearly with kitchen, bartenders, runners, and bussers to ensure smooth service 
  • Assist with buffet and special event setup/breakdown 
  • Attend pre-shift lineups 
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service policies 
  • Report issues or member concerns to management 
  • Support teammates to maintain efficient operations during peak periods 
Requirements

 

  • Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor 
  • Previous food and beverage or hospitality experience preferred 
  • Basic to moderate alcohol and wine knowledge 
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills 
  • Able to stay organized in a fast-paced environment 
  • Reliable and punctual 
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude 

Physical & Work Requirements 

  • Stand and walk for extended periods 
  • Carry trays and lift up to 25 lbs regularly 
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and moving throughout dining areas 
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures 
  • Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed 
  • Work safely around hot surfaces, wet floors, and restaurant equipment
