Points East Veterinary Emergency Hospital in Fayetteville, North Carolina is currently seeking an ER/UC Veterinary Assistant or Technician to join a strong team of ER doctors as we expand and grow in our beautiful 7,000 square foot facility. Various schedules are available for this role.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Able to obtain a manual blood pressure
• Knowledge with Idexx  Bloodwork Machines
• Consistent Venipuncture
• Able to prepare and interpret a manual urinalysis
• Experience in surgical monitoring, prep and intubation
• Able to set up/interpret a PCV
• Knowledge in performing CPR
• Knowledge in EKG setup
• General Anatomy Knowledge
• Triaging Knowledge
• Understanding normal vital signs and values
• General Knowledge of commonly used medications
• Ability to perform well and keep calm in high volume ER
• Have a can-do attitude and initiative

 Education and Experience:

• ER or Urgent Care experience preferred
