Description

Job Summary:

The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance and oversees contractors who maintain production line equipment.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Direct all maintenance procedures and operations
  • Must adhere to a schedule and ensure that safety and quality standards are met
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and providing immediate preventative and corrective maintenance support to production lines and facilitating changeover
  • Correct equipment problems, perform immediate repairs and complete preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Participate in the overhaul of replaced equipment and installing new equipment
  • Assess current maintenance work processes to optimize efficiency
  • Perform facility maintenance and maintain clean and safe work environment
  • Generate parts requests to ensure adequate inventory
  • Maintain inventory records for equipment and supplies
  • Generate and complete work orders as assigned
  • Use data analysis to help prepare for and prevent future problems
  • Perform equipment changeovers and production line setups
  • Apply preventative measures to the building to reduce risk of future problems
  • Train new employees in maintenance work processes and procedures
  • Establish and adhere to maintenance expenses
  • Enforce all health and safety rules and regulations according to state/federal laws and company protocol



Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Must make safety a priority at all times required
  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience in repairing manual machines and minimum 5 years experience on CNC machines with familiarity of Fanuc, Yasnac and Mitsubishi controls required
  • Knowledge of Servo units, spindles, and other machine parts required
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision required
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry 50 lbs. to table height required
  • Strong computer and technical skills with a solid understanding of data analysis software required
  • Ability to follow manufacturer’s specifications and schematics required
  • Prior diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience preferred
  • Previous experience within a high-speed manufacturing environment preferred
  • Programmable Logic Control (PLC) knowledge highly preferred
  • TPM knowledge and abilities preferred
  • Previous front-line leadership preferred
