We are seeking an Underwriting Support Manager to oversee a new team in THREE’s Underwriting operation. This position will play a critical role in efficiently managing post-bind policy activities across Commercial Property, Liability (GL, PL, Liquor Liability, D&O, EPLI, etc), Commercial Auto, and Workers Compensation in a comprehensive all-in-one policy.
Job Responsibilities
Leadership & Results Accountability:
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of Underwriting Analysts and Underwriting Specialists who execute post-bind procedural tasks; including post-bind reviews, documentation follow-up, policy changes, and various other tasks.
- Build bench strength as part of the internal development pipeline from Underwriting Analyst or Underwriting Specialist to Underwriter roles.
Performance Monitoring:
- Manage team queues and workloads to achieve adequate performance against SLAs - high focus on efficient workflow management in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
- Perform regular quality checks on work processed by direct reports.
Process Improvement:
- Provide feedback/input to improve automation, drive workflow efficiency, and increase work capacity absent of significant headcount increases.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Underwriting and Sales leadership teams to ensure end-to-end processes achieve THREE’s goals while delivering a world class customer experience.
Individual Contribution:
- Handle out of authority tasks from direct reports.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in commercial P&C insurance, preferably in underwriting or operational roles
- Management experience preferred
- Ability to teach and lead entry level associates, often with limited insurance experience
- Experience designing or leading training programs in similar roles preferred
- Experience in high volume, fast-paced environments where meeting SLAs is critical
- Solid process improvement skills, including having previously contributed to building workflow efficiencies and/or automation
- Great analytical skills is a plus
This role is fully remote, but may require occasional travel.

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith compensation range estimate is being provided. The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $130,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
