Description

At THREE, you’ll join a team of experienced insurance operators that chooses to run lean, promotes autonomy, and is charged with building a commercial insurer that challenges the largest players in its space.

We are seeking a Complex Commercial Underwriter to join a new team in THREE’s Underwriting operation. This position will be responsible for handling New Business and Renewal Referrals in our Complex segment across Commercial Property, Liability (GL, PL, Liquor Liability, D&O, EPLI, etc), Commercial Auto, and Workers Compensation in a comprehensive all-in-one policy.


Job Responsibilities

  • Utilize THREE’s underwriting guidelines and tools to evaluate, select, and price complex risks – specifically in Hospitality, Habitational, Bar/Tavern, and LRO industries
  • Handle both New Business and Renewal Referrals across THREE’s entire footprint
  • Ensure agent compliance with Loss Control recommendations to improve risk quality and/or reduce hazards that would adversely impact THREE’s profitability
  • Clearly and concisely communicate needs to agents including verification of information, requests for documentation, etc, with customer experience always top of mind
  • Meet various performance requirements related to efficiency and underwriting quality



Requirements

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years in commercial lines underwriting including multiple lines of business – specific designations or related commercial lines experience may supplement
  • Experience underwriting in a fast-paced environment, with ability to apply typical small commercial efficiencies to more complex risks without sacrificing quality
  • Understands independent agent submission-to-bind process for medium sized accounts
  • Experience using all available tools to make appropriate risk selection and pricing decisions
  • Outstanding underwriting queue management skills, with experience performing against specifically defined SLAs


This role is fully remote.

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith compensation range estimate is being provided. The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $130,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
