Inventory Clerk
Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the inventory data entry and maintaining product data and bills of material
  • Insure the timely receipt in the system of all incoming and outgoing product
  • Insure the timely receipt of all internal transfers and rework
  • Insure the receipt and accuracy of all warehouse daily operational paperwork
  • Maintain product bills of materials and bills of lading
  • Maintain and organize paper files 
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies, perform cycle counts for inventory items in warehouse
  • Perform monthly cycle counts, weekly and daily physical spot check counts 
  • Insure accuracy in all inventory maters
  • Review and apply inventory transactions such as movements, deletions, and rework
  • Identify orphaned or missing products
  • Create records for new items and new customers
  • Create training and SOP documentation for inventory and billing procedures 
  • Maintain customer electronic communication, PWM, TMS, SAP and budexchange 
  • Verify the availability of new releases for the Sales and Customer Service Departments
  • Track and monitor progress of unlabeled products
  • Track and monitor all embargoed material
  • Track and monitor all CQV material
  • Give direction to the warehouse supervisor on actions related to embargoed product, CQV product, and products by date
  • Work with managers from the Transportation, Customer Service, and Warehouse departments to ensure a seamless flow of inventory movement and needs including transportation activities 
  • Bill all warehouse activities and transportation activities 
  • Bill for all glass and aluminum bottle shuttle transportation
  • Bill for miscellaneous transportation loads for our Transportation Teams
  • Assist Dispatch and Transportation teams with clerical and customer service needs
  • Manage all appointment scheduling warehouses
  • Customer service – answer customer inquiries and requests via email or phone
  • Punctuality and regular attendance is mandatory
  • Other duties and assignments as requested by management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of inventory transactions, product specifications, bills of materials and WMS, PWM, SAP required  
  • Working knowledge of data collection, and data analysis required  
  • Ability to work with all levels of management required  
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills required, including the ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm required  
  • Proven business acumen skills required  
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards required

 Physical Job Description

  • Typical Working Conditions:  The working environment includes both a typical office environment with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and warehouse environment where there is exposure to mobile equipment, temperature, loud noise, etc.
  • Equipment Used:  Typical office equipment like the Copier machine, computer, phone, etc.  
  • Essential Physical Tasks:  The job requires sitting for long periods of time.  It also requires walking 2+ miles a day in the warehouse, standing, and handling paper work.  May include data entry in computers or running reports.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems with barcoding applications preferred
  • Possess strong project management skills  
  • Proficiency on computer, using MS Office (Excel, Work, and Outlook) required
  • Effective professional written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Active driver’s license in good standing
Salary Description
$20 - $21 / Hourly
