Description

Responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with alumni, parents, and donors to the University through communications and events. Provide oversight on volunteer management as well as planning and executing major events for our alumni and donors. 

  

Accountabilities:

  • Working closely with the Assistant Vice President of Alumni and Donor Engagement for designing and implementing events and engagement opportunities regionally and on-campus. 
  • In conjunction with the Assistant Vice President of Alumni and Donor Engagement, is responsible for developing   programming for Homecoming and Reunion weekends as well as having oversight of regional alumni events. 
  • Capture photographs and videos at on-campus and off-campus events for the Alumni/Advancement Office and the broader University
  • Co-Collaborate with Integrated Marketing and the Director of Stewardship and Communications on multiple projects each semester to enhance overall university marketing efforts. 
  • Oversight of the Alumni Engagement Instagram account and assist in monitoring other Alumni accounts and provide assistance or triage requests as necessary.
  • Provide data and analytics for the Instagram Account for tracking purposes. 
  • Serve as the primary coordinator of the Senior Class Gift and assisting with senior events and commencement weekend activities.
  • Provide oversight for three to four reunion classes including their communications and fundraising efforts. 
  • Serve as the Liaison to Athletics assisting with their alumni events on and off campus. 
  • Serve as the Liaison to Student Affairs assisting them with traditional events. 
  • Oversight of the Annual Donor Gratitude event in conjunction with Day of Giving events. 
  • Collaborates with the Assistant Vice President of Alumni and Donor Engagement to coordinate, implement any related University events.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Scope:

  • Increase alumni engagement with the University in an effort to increase alumni participation and donations.
  • Interacts regularly with alumni volunteers, University Advancement staff, the faculty and staff of the University, especially student affairs, and athletics, as well as other individuals within the University community.

Requirements
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or 1-3 years of related experience required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with confidential information.
  • Experience with event planning and management.
  • Strong administrative skills preferred.
  • Ability to travel and available for evening and weekend work.
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
  • Must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the University as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption University.
Salary Description
$57,600- $64,000
