We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to fabricate and assemble high-quality dump body components and accessories. This role involves precision welding, blueprint reading, structural fabrication, and finishing work on both carbon and stainless steel.
This is not repetitive production welding — our work involves complex assemblies, varied builds, and high-quality finishing standards.
Essential Functions

· Perform MIG welding (hard wire and flux core) on carbon and stainless steel in accordance with AWS standards.
· Fabricate dump body components and accessories from blueprints and material lists.
· Operate plasma cutters, oxy-fuel torches, arc gouging equipment, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
· Perform layout, fitting, and hand setups for complex assemblies.
· Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of your own work prior to release to the next operation.
· Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, drill presses, brake presses, and other shop equipment as required.
· Complete finishing work to meet quality standards.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in all weather conditions. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Your manager will provide you with the specific details of your schedule. The schedule is subject to change due to customer requirements or business needs. Overtime may be necessary to handle emergencies, heavy workloads or other issues.
Travel
In rare cases a welder/fabricator may be asked to travel.
Required Education and Experience
· High school diploma or GED.
· 2+ years of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
· Experience welding carbon steel (hard wire and/or flux core).
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
· Experience operating plasma cutters, oxy-fuel torches, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
· Ability to perform layout, fitting, and hand setups for welded assemblies.
· Ability to pass an in-house weld test to AWS standards.
· Ability to lift to 75lbs and work in a production shop environment.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to inspect and approve own work.
Preferred Education and Experience
· AWS certification (D1.1 or equivalent).
· Experience welding stainless steel.
· 3–5+ years of heavy fabrication or structural welding experience.
· Experience fabricating dump bodies, truck equipment, heavy equipment, or similar products.
· Experience operating brake press, drill press, overhead cranes, and forklifts.
· Experience in custom or low-volume fabrication environments.
· Prior experience working with quality inspection documentation or dimensional checks.
· Vocational or technical training in welding or metal fabrication.
