Summary:

The Regional Vice President of Operations is responsible for several hotels in Arbor Lodging's portfolio. They are responsible for establishing goals for each hotel and ensuring that all hotel operations are carried out to brand and corporate standards.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the service provided at, and the financial performance of, all of the hotels in the Arbor Lodging portfolio. 
  • Direct, manage and be accountable for overall hotel operations. 
  • Oversee and direct third-party management companies (where applicable). 
  • Formulate and ensure compliance with budgets (which will include, but not be limited to, regular monitoring of occupancy and ADR, approval of certain expenditures and responding to circumstances by reformulating strategies in order to maintain profit expectations). 
  • Continuously analyze hotel operations for possible efficiencies and implement strategies to effectuate such efficiencies. 
  • Work closely with hotel staff (in particular, the general manager and director of sales) to develop business plans, marketing strategies and team agendas as well as serve as a support system for such staff. 
  • Develop standards, practices and training programs for operational matters 
  • Work closely with ownership groups to develop pro forma budgets and evaluate operations for acquisition opportunities. 
  • Regularly visit hotel properties. 
  • Provide regular reviews of operations for ownership. 
  • Produce and distribute quarterly reports for Principals and investors. 
  • Maintain quality control at all hotels. 
  • Oversees human resources administration at hotels. 
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in branded hotels is required. (Marriott and/or Hilton experience required)
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive direct hotel Operations Management
  • Must be willing to travel up to 75% to various portfolio locations
  • Multi-property select-service experience 
  • Proven Leadership skills
  • Strong understanding of business financials and Profit and Loss Statements
  • Proven success in a similar role
  • PC proficiency to include (but not limited to) Microsoft Office applications

Pay is based upon several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
