Materials Control Coordinator
Description

Ensures all material transactions are performed in a timely manner, and all information is accurate in the ERP system. Assist with establishing and maintaining procedures necessary to ensure inventory accuracy.  

  • Provide backup support to Warehouse Supervisor to ensure that all material receipts from vendors and customers are correctly entered into the ERP software within 24 hours of receiving material. 
  • Coordinate status of non-conformance material with buyers. 
  • Initiate kitting of all materials needed for each job by printing a Bill of Material for the job and submitting it to warehouse material handlers. 
  • Monitor and audit progress of materials being issued (kitted) for each job and ensure that all materials kitted or delivered to job are properly entered in the ERP program within 24 hours of issuance. 
  • Generate cycle count requests as required. 
  • Audit material locations and compare to system locations, make corrections as necessary. 
  • Assist in performing physical inventory. 
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies in inventory levels or material issues and resolve problems. 
  • Issue material to jobs not handled by material handler. 
  • Print/create manufactured part/job books. 
  • Process problem invoices after correction from purchasing.  
Requirements
  •  High school diploma, GED or equivalent. 
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. 
  • Flexibility and ability to work under production pressure. 
  • Ability to work in cooperation with other team members. 
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and measurements. 
  • Basic computer skills. 
  • Knowledge of inventory control software is preferred. 
  • Work effectively with details and numbers. 
  • Valid driver’s license. 
  • Strong organizational skills. 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Extended periods of standing, walking, climbing, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs. 
  • Ability to work in extreme heat and cold temperatures.
  • Frequent reaching and working overhead. 
  • Ability to work at heights greater than 10 feet, including ladders and rooftops.
  • Ability to work in confined or tight spaces for extended periods of time.
