Sr. Product Manager, Data Products
Remote
Job Type
Full-time
Description

Aduro is at an inflection point. After years of establishing ourselves as a premier services-first fund administrator, we’re now making a focused bet on a new revenue stream: productizing the high-fidelity, audited data generated through our core services.

We are hiring a Senior Product Manager to build a small, new product team (Senior Product Manager + Data Engineer) to validate and launch data products grounded in our fund administration data. This role is ideal for a customer-obsessed, data-literate Product Manager who can turn ambiguity into a clear discovery plan, a strong business case, and a customer-facing prototype.

Why Aduro?

We’re not your typical fund administrators. We’re modern, innovative, and backed by deep industry experience, allowing our clients to focus on investing while we handle the details. We pride ourselves on providing our clients with thoughtful and adaptable service while leveraging best-in-class technology.

We thrive in a people-first culture where each team member can impact the success of the business. We do this by investing heavily in training and development programs, providing ample opportunities for growth, and focusing on fostering a culture of collaboration and community.

The Role: Discovery - Prototype - Traction

  • Year 1 is intentionally lean and outcome-focused. The goal is to validate which data product opportunities are highest value and most feasible, and to ship a functional prototype to a defined beta cohort.
  • In Years 2 and beyond, this initiative is expected to evolve from a prototype into a reliable, scalable product: expanding adoption across existing clients, onboarding external buyers where appropriate, and improving how the product is packaged, priced, delivered, and supported. As adoption grows, the team is expected to grow as well.
  • You will lead customer discovery across current clients and external buyers. You will define the ideal customer profile, validate willingness to pay, and partner closely with a Data Engineer to translate insights into a prototype scope and roadmap.

Here is the type of work you will do:

  • Own the discovery plan: Design and run a high quantity of customer interviews in Year 1 across priority segments.
  • Define the ideal customer profile and business case: Validate use cases, buyer personas, pricing and packaging hypotheses, and willingness to pay.
  • Ship a customer-facing prototype: Drive the end-to-end loop from hypotheses to requirements to prototype delivery. Work with marketing, client services, and other cross-functional teams to launch.
  • Partner with engineering: Work as a close partner to the Data Engineer on sequencing, feasibility, and quality tradeoffs.
  • Establish Success Metrics: Set and track clear Year 1 outcomes that validate product-market fit and see a path to meaningful revenue.
  • Navigate Governance & Compliance: Partner with legal/compliance stakeholders to ensure products adhere to privacy, anonymization, and opt-in guardrails.
  • Communicate clearly: Provide concise updates on learnings, decisions, risks, and next steps.

The salary range for the Sr. Product Manager, Data Products position is $140,000 - $160,000. Salary is determined based on current market data and candidate experience level. Employees in this role are eligible to participate in the Aduro Bonus Program.
