Chief Operating Officer
Description

This position is responsible for achieving financial goals (revenue and margin) of the JBF operation through:

  • Managing the operation on-site in NY

The role will direct and manage all manufacturing activities, including but not limited to, the manufacturing process, staffing levels, inventory management. This person develops and implements manufacturing strategies that are in line with company objectives as a leader to achieve operational excellence, increase productivity and foster business expansion. Responsibilities include overseeing production operations, ensuring the manufacturing process runs smoothly, efficiently and on budget. It is expected that he / she will effectively interact with JBF leadership from President, Plant Manager, Shift-Supervisors, Project Manager, and Head of HR. He / she will maintain a very close working relationship with the leadership team to achieve the agreed upon business objectives.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CI for ASME 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in plant/general management in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of relevant leadership experience.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and maintain quality service while under pressure.
  • High level of conscientiousness and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work alone or within groups as necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills 
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic.
  • Experience and / or ability to work effectively in a turn around situation.
