Business Development Specialist II

Summary of Description:

The Business Development Specialist identifies new business opportunities and clients and develops marketing and sales strategies to help grow the Company’s business.


Duties:

  • Analyzes and expands business operations toward substantial growth. 
  • Evaluates and improves sales, marketing, and branding strategies. 
  • Develops client relationships and strengthening industry partnerships. 
  • Liaison with Sales, Marketing and Management to align strategies aimed at increasing revenue. 
  • Source prospective clients through referrals, networking, social media, internet research, sales leads, and direct contact. 
  • Initiate relationships with prospective clients by researching jobs and organizations and connecting with key stakeholders.
  • Identify potential opportunities with companies through research, referrals, networking, and cold calling. 
  • Present information related to recruiting and services and utilize business development strategies to capitalize on new opportunities and drive growth. 
  • Perform other job-related duties, as assigned. 


Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Science degree in Business Development, Marketing or a related field, and a minimum of 10-15 years of previous experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.


Licensing Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License as per State law or requirement.


Specific Skills:

  • Ability to learn and work in integrated business management and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software. 
  • Basic knowledge of business development, marketing strategies and brand expansion. 
  • Experience in identifying profitable business opportunities and potential clients. 
  • Ability to analyze market trends and competitor behavior. 
  • Ability to maintain strong client relationships and establish industry partnerships.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Problem-solving skills to propose mutually beneficial solutions. 
  • Ability and willingness to travel for meetings with prospective and existing clients.


Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work: exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. 
  • Ability to sit at desk and operate computer for extended periods of time.
