Position Overview

This unique Staff Accountant role provides hands-on experience in both Tax and Audit, offering a well-rounded foundation in public accounting.

 

You will contribute to tax compliance engagements during busy season and participate in audit engagements throughout the year. As you gain experience and proficiency, you will take on increasingly complex assignments and expand responsibility across both service lines. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants broad exposure before selecting a long-term specialization.

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare partnership, S corporation, and individual tax returns
  • Assist with tax projections and estimated payment calculations
  • Support audit and review procedures
  • Prepare and document workpapers in accordance with firm standards
  • Analyze financial data and assist with internal control testing
  • Collaborate with engagement teams to identify and resolve client issues
  • Communicate project progress to management
  • Participate in training and professional development
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s preferred)
  • Foundational knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Actively pursuing CPA certification 
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Commitment to teamwork and professional growth

 Work Environment & Expectations

  • Hybrid work model with flexibility based on client needs
  • Occasional travel to client locations
  • Extended hours during peak periods (approx. 2400 hours annually)
