The Resident Services Advisor manages the hospitality experience and guides residents through successful health and wellness transitions to achieve the optimal level of well-being and appropriate level of care.
MAJOR WORK ACTIVITIES:
1. The Resident Service Advisor provides relational services by building connections with the residents, gaining trust, and providing emotional and psychosocial support through the aging process.
2. Ensures seamless transitions between appropriate levels of care offered at the community by building relationships, solving problems, and locating resources throughout the resident’s continuum of care.
3. Solve issues presented by residents, guests, vendors, coworkers in a manner so that extraordinary experiences are met, as well as the individuals feel they were served appropriately. Neutralize difficult situations from escalating into further issues.
4. Responsible for evaluating resident needs to identify and assist with available resources within and outside the community to reduce barriers to independent living.
5. Act as liaison between transferring institutions and the facility by maintaining good rapport.
6. Serve as an educational resource for residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
7. Work with all disciplines to ensure all questions and needs are met to ensure guest satisfaction and excellent hospitality.
8. Assist in marketing the community both internally and externally.
9. Develop, implement, and maintain knowledge in the following areas: department policies and procedures, Resident Handbook, Resident Rights, and legislative changes that may affect the residents, this includes changes in Medicare, Medicaid and Social Services.
10. Participates in appropriate committees and meetings and in-services.
11. Support management/administration decisions through periods of change or stress.
12. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Licensure/ Certification: N/A
Experience: At least 18 months of related health care/case management/discharge planning/social work experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
