MOBIS Technical Center of North America is the Research & Development Center for Hyundai MOBIS, a Tier 1 supplier and an affiliate under Hyundai Motor Group. MOBIS produces and supplies a wide variety of automotive components to customers including component modules (chassis, cockpit and front-end module), core system, eco-friendly and DAS-mechatronics. POSITION OVERVIEW:

Lead exterior lighting programs including LED, ADB, rear and grille lamps from RFQ through SOP with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and quality; translate customer technical and commercial requirements into program scope, schedules, deliverables, and gated milestones; own APQP and PPAP readiness and customer submissions, coordinating issue resolution, risk registers, and engineering change management with internal teams and suppliers; direct quoting and costing including BOM, tooling, piece price, packaging, and logistics to deliver competitive and on time proposals that meet margin and timing targets; plan prototype, design validation and product validation testing, and build events and align resources for launch readiness; optimize supply chain and packaging plans to support launch and serial production including supplier nomination and capacity tracking; serve as the primary customer interface for program status, quality metrics, and commercial terms, lead negotiations and provide regular management updates and forecasts; track pipeline, KPIs, and profitability, maintain CRM and program dashboards, and coach cross functional teams on procedures to achieve revenue, quality, and launch performance goals.


Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related field, and at least five years of experience.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Position requires occasional or frequent moderate physical activity.


EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

A typical work week is 40 hours/week.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Office work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.

Shop or laboratory work involves some exposure to moderate risk of accident and requires following basic safety precautions.

In-field, PG, or track testing involves frequent exposure to unpleasant elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, loud noises, chemicals, etc.

Stress may occur periodically.
