Position Summary
GenServe is seeking a motivated Warehouse Associate to join our growing team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring our technicians and customers receive the right parts and materials when they need them. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and responsiveness are key.?
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain relationships with vendors?
- Identifying new vendors?
- Searching for the correct suppliers of parts or materials?
- Requesting quotes from suppliers?
- Maintaining proper inventories?
- Update and maintain data in software?
- Import price books from vendors?
- Create internal part numbers for products?
- Building job orders for field technicians?
- Handle requests from customers?
- Maintain records and electronic forms and management systems?
- Maintaining a clean work environment?
- Work in warehouse as needed to help associates or the team with kitting jobs and receiving parts?
- Maintain warehouse upkeep across Texas shops (Austin, San Antonio, Dallas)
- Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability; can understand complex situations and systems.
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective communicator with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
- Skilled in negotiating favorable terms and rates.
- Reliable, committed, and understands the importance of supporting the service department.
- Capable of managing priorities and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
- Leadership qualities and a proactive mindset that contributes to company growth.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat; Sage & Oracle experience is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a supplier, buyer, or parts-related role.
- Valid Texas driver’s license with clean MVR and background check.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments.
- Ability to build job orders and manage inventory accurately.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of electrical or automotive parts.
- Experience importing price books and creating internal part numbers.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and electronic record-keeping.
