GENERAL SUMMARY
The Marketing Intern supports the Marketing Department by assisting with day-to-day marketing activities, campaigns, and member communication initiatives within a community-focused credit union environment. This position provides hands-on exposure to financial marketing, including compliance-sensitive advertising, digital content updates, event support, and marketing technology implementation. The intern will work closely with the AVP of Marketing & Member Experience, gaining practical experience across multiple marketing channels and platforms.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist with marketing campaigns and member communications, learning how legal and regulatory requirements affect financial marketing content.
Perform basic web page updates and content changes using the credit union's Umbraco content management system (no coding required).
Support the implementation and use of HubSpot, including helping with data entry, list management, and basic workflow or campaign setup under supervision.
Learn and apply appropriate, ethical uses of AI tools to improve marketing efficiency and accuracy within a regulated financial environment.
Assist with the production of marketing materials and graphics, observing and supporting work done in Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
Help coordinate local events, community engagements, tradeshows, and professional conference presence, including logistics, materials preparation, and follow-up activities.
Provide support for out-of-home and community sponsorship marketing efforts, including tracking collateral, impressions, and engagement.
Maintain organized files, assets, and documentation for marketing projects and campaigns.
Collaborate with internal departments to gather information and support member-focused communications.
Education and Experience
This position requires current enrollment in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field. Previous internship or work experience in marketing, customer service, or related areas is preferred but not required.
