Position Overview: At Teton Youth and Family Services (TYFS), therapists are integral to our mission of helping youth and families find strength, resilience, and healing. Working across our residential, day treatment, and community-based programs, therapists deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based mental health care in environments designed to meet youth where they are. The role requires clinical skill, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and a deep commitment to supporting young people who have experienced complex trauma, abuse, or mental health challenges. Therapists are not just clinicians—they are stabilizing, trusted adults who help young people rebuild trust in themselves and the world around them.
Red Top Meadows: Red Top Meadows (RTM) is a 14-bed residential treatment program located on 20 acres bordering the Bridger-Teton National Forest, serving adjudicated males ages 12–18, including those court-ordered to care through the Department of Family Services as well as school-based placements. The average length of stay for a resident is approximately 11 months. Common issues for students in the program include poor school performance, family conflict, difficulty with peer relationships, depression, childhood trauma, attention difficulties, sexual behavior concerns, and challenges with decision-making, coping, and social skills. Residential treatment at RTM supports adolescent males and their families in identifying solutions, developing personal responsibility, and creating positive cycles of change. The program emphasizes recognizing and reinforcing growth as it occurs while providing a structured environment where residents can experiment with and practice new skills and behaviors.
