As an Environmental Services Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment at the Henry Ford Detroit Pistons Performance Center (PPC) and the Little Caesars Arena (LCA) player locker room.

What you’ll be doing

• Work under the direction of the EVS Supervisor, Manager, and team to maintain a sanitary environment throughout PPC and the LCA player locker room.

• Clean and disinfect all restroom surfaces, including toilets, sinks, walls, doors, mirrors, and floors; restock paper products, soap, and other supplies.

• Empty all trash receptacles, replace liners, and operate the trash compactor.

• Perform daily cleaning of offices, conference rooms, and copy rooms following Pistons EVS Standard Operating Procedures.

• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of the PPC practice courts following established procedures.

• Maintain high cleaning standards in specialty areas including the PPC weight room, player and coach locker rooms, saunas, steam rooms, and related facilities.

• Dust mop, sweep, mop, and operate auto-scrubbers or vacuums on all floor surfaces.

• Clean stairwells and elevators, including high and low dusting, elevator tracks, and polishing stainless steel surfaces

• Ensure all cleaning procedures meet OSHA industry standards.

• Perform onsite laundering of linens at PPC.

• Promote and exemplify the Detroit Pistons’ culture and core values.

• Assist with facility conversion tasks at PPC, including setting up tables, chairs, court coverings, and other equipment.

• Provide cleaning support and additional services for events held at PPC.


What we’re looking for

• High school diploma preferred.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Positive, upbeat attitude with the ability to work efficiently during fast-paced event timelines.

• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and move for sustained periods.

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
