DESCRIPTION

The Graphic Designer will support a government agency by creating visual communication products for scientific outreach, public engagement, media, and digital initiatives. The role involves designing print and digital materials—including infographics, presentations, animations, and event graphics—while ensuring compliance with branding and accessibility standards. Candidates must have strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud.
PRIMARY DUTIES
The Graphic Designer shall:
- Design graphic layouts for print and digital communications products.
- Create infographics, presentations, and outreach materials.
- Produce graphics for conferences, media events, and exhibits.
- Develop animations and multimedia visual assets.
- Ensure all materials meet NSF branding guidelines and Section 508 accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with researchers and communications teams to translate complex science topics into clear visuals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, Digital Media, or related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of professional graphic design experience.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud and producing digital and print materials.
