• Build strong relationships with distributors, partners, and customers throughout the region
• Identify new opportunities for growth and market expansion
• Travel within the region to support partner engagement, customer relationships, and sales development
• Represent BAPI professionally across diverse cultures and business environments

Position Summary: The Business Development & Regional Sales Manager adds value to BAPI and Sales Team through execution of Regional Sales plan, leading and motivating assigned staff to provide the best solution for BAPI’s HVAC/R Sensors & test instruments by educating customers and assisting them in applying the products to their needs. In addition, this position will provide input and participate in the marketing, market planning, and technical development of products and services.


Principle Responsibilities:  

Review, refine and implement Regional Sales plans which include, but not limited to; forecasting revenue and plans for growth, monthly sales plan, quarterly budget review

  1. Developing, as needed, and overseeing the customer account plans and communicate strategies and road map
  2. Maintaining a good understanding of BAPI’s business practices including pricing, forecasting, terms and conditions, and code of ethics
  3. Acquiring an in-depth knowledge of the assigned markets and drive a high level of engagement with customers to discover new opportunities
  4. Proactively aligning with existing accounts and secure new business
  5. Providing positive leadership to meet and exceed forecasted revenue
  6. Providing on-going close-loop feedback between Key Account Specialist, distribution sales and other teams to assure the needed resources are available 

Create and oversee Distribution Infrastructure:

  1. Develop and implement the assigned Regional Distribution Sales plans including, but not limited to: forecasting revenue and plans for growth, monthly sales plan, quarterly budget review, and Distributor specific programs
  2. Determine distribution strategies, incentives, & goals for products
  3. Develop and oversee the distributor account plan; communicate strategies and road map
  4. Maintaining the pricing, terms and conditions, and code of ethics to incorporate with new and existing partners
  5. Developing an in-depth knowledge of the assigned markets (distributors) and drive a high level of engagement with Distributors to discover new opportunities

Lead and develop Sales technical & support staff by providing support through daily activities  

  1. Coordinate the work activities of others as needed and identify the work-related skills of supervisees to coach, mentor and/or assist them in improving their work knowledge, skills, performance, efficiency and overall quality
  2. Provide leadership for Sales Staff by providing guidance or training, as needed, with:
    * Formulating and proposing solutions to meet customer HVAC/R needs
    * Making presentations to new and existing customers using BAPI tools
    * Acting to close deals and finalize contracts
    * Meeting established sales quotas and revenue goals
    * Submitting and approving pre-travel plans, posting-travel reports, and having timely action on action items
  3. Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files, developing, and presenting reports, etc.
  4. Promote a productive, collaborative, and innovative work environment

Make contacts, research customer needs and develop application of products in an effective manner by:   

  1. Assisting in determining market strategies & goals for products
  2. Maintaining up-to-date awareness of activities, industry trends & government regulations
  3. Establishing positive long-term relationships with internal and external customers by learning about their business, listening to and/or identifying their needs and promoting appropriate BAPI products
  4. Researching and developing lists of potential customers
  5. Assisting in market research to determine customer needs & providing information to other staff
  6. Evaluating product marketability in terms of customers’ technical & manufacturing needs
  7. Resolving problems with products and services and involve other departments as needed
  8. Documenting all customer contacts according to procedures
  9. Working with Marketing to assure needed materials/documents are available

Participate in development of new products, modification of existing products, & termination of ineffective products in an effective and professional manner by:  

  1. Evaluating product marketability and forecasting sales
  2. Recommending new technical products & product modifications or terminations
  3. Gathering, analyzing, and sharing customer technical information & feedback
  4. Working with the BAPI team to identify customer’s existing and future needs
  5. Determining customer satisfaction with products and services


Requirements

Education Requirements (R/Required, P/Preferred):

(P) Bachelor’s Degree 

Degrees Preferred: Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience


Training, Skills, Knowledge and Experience 

Specific Training in this field (R/Required, P/Preferred):

  1. (P) HVAC/R 
  2. (P) Electronics
  3. (P) Electro-Mechanical
  4. (P) Industrial Technology

Experience/Knowledge in this field (R/Required, P/Preferred): 

  1. (R) 6+ years sales experience
  2. (P) 3+ years leadership experience
  3. (R) English Proficient 
  4. (R) Strong understanding of cultural norms and regional business practices
