About the Role
We are seeking an Associate Director of Creative to lead and elevate the visual expression of our brand. This role blends high-level design craft with creative leadership guiding the team that brings our campaigns, performances and programs to life.


This is a hands-on leadership role. You will spend a significant portion of your time designing and contributing to major institutional projects while also helping mentor and guide other members of the creative team.

You may be stepping into formal management for the first time, or you may already have experience leading designers. What matters most is strong creative judgment, a collaborative leadership style and a desire to help others grow.

What You'll Do

Creative Leadership & Brand Stewardship

  •  Provide creative direction for marketing campaigns, season materials, and institutional initiatives
  •  Ensure visual consistency and excellence across all brand touchpoints
  •  Offer thoughtful feedback and design guidance to other members of the creative team
  •  Partner with marketing and communications leadership to translate strategy into compelling visual storytelling

Design & Creative Production

  •  Lead design on priority projects including campaigns, print collateral, digital assets, and environmental graphics
  •  Produce high-quality work that reflects strong craft in typography, layout, color, and composition
  •  Develop motion graphics and assets for digital channels
  •  Contribute conceptually to campaign development and creative problem solving

Team Development & Collaboration

  •  Mentor designers and video team members, helping them grow their skills and creative confidence
  •  Support healthy creative workflows and collaboration across teams
  •  Foster a culture of curiosity, craft and continuous improvement

 Full-Time | In Office | $75k+

Requirements

  

What We're Looking For

  • 7–10 years of professional graphic design experience 
  • Experience leading projects, mentoring designers or serving as a senior designer developing an in-house brand. 
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite — Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere 
  • Strong motion graphics or experience working with videographers preferred 
  • A portfolio that reflects range across print, digital, motion, and brand work 
  • Strong creative judgment and attention to detail 
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort presenting creative ideas 
  • Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working in an in-house creative environment
