Requirements
  • Associate’s degree in Drafting or a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) or Professional (CSWP) a plus
  • Intermediate to Expert knowledge of SolidWorks (parts, assemblies, drawings, simulation, analysis).
  • Familiarity with PDM software a plus.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and manufacturing processes.
  • 5+ years’ experience using SolidWorks software.
  • Aviation design background a plus.
  • Knowledge of Design for Assembly and Design for Manufacturability Techniques a plus.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5) a plus.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, principles, tools and instruments involved in the production and use of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
