This full-time position supports the Office of Naval Research (ONR). The Administrative Human Resource (HR) Specialist – Senior will provide senior-level human resources and administrative support to ONR Global.
The selected candidate will accept technical tasking and task prioritization from the ONR Global Personnel Officer / N1 Department Head, who will serve as the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) for this position. The role will support a wide range of personnel administration activities including recruiting support, onboarding logistics, meeting and conference coordination, briefing preparation, and resolution of administrative and personnel-related issues.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong experience in U.S. Government Human Resource Management, possess exceptional organizational and communication skills, and have the ability to manage multiple administrative and HR-related tasks supporting ONR personnel and leadership.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with at least ten (10) years of experience in U.S. Government Human Resource Management, OR twenty (20) years of experience in U.S. Government Human Resource Management.
- Demonstrated experience providing U.S. Government personnel administration support, including managing customer requirements across a broad range of HR-related tasks.
- Experience supporting personnel recruiting and selection processes.
- Experience coordinating and supporting onboarding logistics for newly assigned personnel.
- Experience preparing briefings, reports, and administrative documentation supporting personnel and leadership activities.
- Experience supporting conference and meeting planning and staffing, including scheduling and coordinating video teleconferences (VTCs) and other collaboration platforms.
- Ability to support the resolution of administrative, logistical, and financial HR-related issues.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while supporting ONR personnel and leadership.
Desired additional qualifications:
- Working knowledge of the Naval Research & Development Establishment (NR&DE).
- Experience supporting U.S. Navy-specific Human Resource Management processes and organizations.
