The Proposal Specialist I develops and produces professional, compliant, and visually appealing proposals in response to public-sector solicitations. This position focuses primarily on on-call or mid-level proposals and works closely with the Proposal Manager to ensure quality, timeliness, and adherence to standards. The Proposal Specialist I role emphasizes growth in writing, coordination, and design skills with exposure to more complex pursuits.
What you will do:
- Prepare and manage proposals by coordinating with technical staff, collecting information, and developing drafts.
- Produce layouts, graphics, resumes, and project descriptions in compliance with RFQ/RFP requirements.
- Track milestones, communicate deadlines, and ensure adherence to review and production schedules.
- Review content for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with client requirements.
- Maintain and update project and staff data in the firm’s marketing systems.
- Develop marketing materials such as presentations and proposal templates.
- Learn to integrate AI tools appropriately for content generation, consistency, and efficiency.
- Demonstrate self-responsibility, accountability, and growth toward independent proposal management.
- Performs other marketing-related tasks as directed by the Director of Marketing and Proposal Manager.
Who you are:
You are a team player with a professional demeanor focused on performing a variety of support functions. As a self-starter you have excellent time and task management skills. You are an accomplished communicator both verbal and written.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of A/E/C proposal experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign; familiarity with Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar CRM systems is a plus.
