PacAero’s core businesses include an array of electronic connectors and housings for the world’s most extreme environments. 


PacAero is primarily located in Wenatchee, WA with a remote manufacturing site, Bonded Metals, located in Sequim, WA. Working together, we employ proprietary technologies, best practices engineering, and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the world’s most extreme environments. PacAero’s products are hard at work in medical components, such as cardiac-function devices, on key aerospace & defense programs, in space and deep below the earth's surface.


The Position:


Summary

The Process Engineering Technician, General (PETech-G) applies hands-on techniques to correct nonconforming parts and assemblies into conforming hardware. Additionally, they work closely with all Process Engineers (PE’s) providing both technical support in developing process improvement efforts and initial screening of nonconforming product reports (NCP’s).


Schedule: Mon-Fri, 5:00am-1:30pm

Process Engineering Technician – I Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Read and understand blueprints and CAD models to understand conforming criteria.
  • Rework nonconforming material into conformance per defined instructions.
  • Section parts & assemblies in support of PE data collection activities.

Requirements

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and / or ability required. Essential: 

  • Fluent in speaking, reading and writing the English language.
  • Basic computer skills, including proven ability to use Microsoft Word, EXCEL and Outlook.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and apply new techniques and technologies.
  • Safely and successfully use basic hand tools as required such as scrapers, needles, razor blades, probes, etc.

Preferred:

  • Understanding of process variable identification, separation and documentation of steps towards evaluation of process results.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent. 
  • 1+ year of manufacturing and/or assembly experience at PacAero, or 2+ years of mechanical experience gained outside of PacAero, in a related manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

  • Contaminants: Does work with hazardous chemicals.
  • Protective gear: Personal protective equipment (PPE, company provided) required for safety. 
  • Shift work: 5x8 Day Shift; Monday through Friday, typically 6:00am to 2:30pm though actual start time to be determined by manager at time of hire.
  • As much as 10hrs of overtime per week, which could include one or both weekend days, occurs with this position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing/Sitting: Able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Lifting: Safely lift 40lbs without aid.
  • Manual dexterity: Fine motor skills and strong hand-eye coordination are necessary for manipulating hand tools and performing precise measurements through a microscope.
  • Precision and vision: Specific vision ability to have natural or corrected near distance acuity in at least one eye.
  • Able to work under microscope conditions for extended periods of time.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination.
