POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Site Surveyor position is a very critical part of our organization’s internal team. Our Site Surveyors are the first people with boots on the ground at the jobsites representing our company. You will work closely with our Design and Engineering team along with fellow Site Surveyors. This position is responsible for gathering all information needed from a homeowner’s residence to ensure the Design team can properly prepare permits needed to facilitate installation and service of photovoltaic systems, electrical panels, HVAC systems, and more. With the utilization of a drone and iPad, this position requires you to get aerial imagery of the home/property and take photos of the electrical panel, meter, obstructions and general property information, which may include but is not limited to taking physical measurements and documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
The candidate for this position must reside within a 30 mile radius of the Tucson metropolitan area
· Assess jobsite conditions, electrical systems, attic structures, roof conditions
· Utilize drones to capture aerial imagery
· Measure roof planes, vents, dormers, and chimneys as needed
· Measure and access attic structure and conditions
· Capture shade reading reports for Designers and Financing Platforms
· Draw, document, and photograph roofs, attic space, and electrical panels, including pre-existing damages
· Upload photos and site assessment documentation into Scanifly the same day
· Inspect roofs for structural integrity and condition
· Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
· Perform other tasks and duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 1-2 years of experience in the construction or solar industry required. Site Survey Experience preferred
· Ability to read, write, and understand solar plans and designs as well as excellent verbal communication skills
· Ability to work in challenging environments (heat, sun, cold, wind, tight spaces, etc)
· Capable of standing for long stretches of time and working at heights (on rooftops, climbing ladders, and stairs)
· Must be willing to travel
· Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during work, including but not limited to peers and customers
· Ability to operate a computer, drone, iPad, and smart phone for communication and uploading documents/photos
· Must be open to working different schedules Monday-Saturday and long hours when necessary
REQUIREMENTS:
· Current, valid Arizona Driver’s License (Driving is an essential function of this position)
· Clean driving record (Driving is an essential function of this position)
· The ability to travel within Arizona on a weekly basis based on project location
· Must have or be able to obtain Part 107 License for drone operation

COMPENSATION:
· This position is an hourly, non-exempt position, eligible for overtime. The base hourly rate of this position is expected to be from $19.00/hour to $24.00/hour. Exact hourly rate will be based upon several factors, including but not limited to work location, experience, education or certification, licensure, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, climb, crawl, push, pull, reach, sit, stand, climb ladders, and work with various tools and equipment. The employee must have the ability to listen, understand, communicate in writing and verbally. The employee will frequently be required to lift objects up to 60 pounds.
