General Function
Support the creation of print, digital, and social media assets for the National Retail Federation. This role combines foundational creative project management skills with hands-on design and video production.
Essential Functions
- Produce graphics and videos to support NRF brand and event marketing campaigns across digital, print and social media
- Contribute to video productions by developing production plans, preparing and testing equipment, and proactively ensuring all technical and logistical elements are ready for a seamless shoot
- Capture and edit video content tailored for social media platforms
- Maintain NRF Studio operations and manage inventory of media equipment
- Assist with creative project management—intake, evaluation, timeline development, assignment, review and delivery of projects
- Support team in concept development, such as drafting video scripts, project briefs, and presenting creative concepts to internal stakeholders
- Manages vendor projects and communications - request quotes, vendor research, assists with negotiations, tracks contracts
- Ensure final deliverables meet brand standards and are delivered to internal clients, partners or vendors
- Collaborate with photo, video and live event production vendors at NRF events and help manage event photo/video library
- Assist with file management and archiving
- Develop internal and external presentations for NRF spokespeople
- Stay ahead of design trends and pitch creative ideas to the team
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 1–2 years of professional experience in creative production, marketing, or multimedia roles
- Hands-on video production experience, including shooting and editing
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro; After Effects a plus)
- Experience producing creative assets for digital and/or social media
- Basic understanding of creative workflows and project timelines
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage files, assets, and multiple deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365
- Ability to adhere to a hybrid work schedule with required onsite presence in Washington, DC on Tuesday - Thursday.
- Willingness to travel occasionally
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting brand, marketing, or event based creative campaign
- Experience capturing and editing short form video content for social media platforms
- Familiarity with Canva and awareness of current social media and design trends
- Experience assisting with creative project management, including intake, timelines, reviews, and delivery
- Exposure to vendor coordination or vendor management, including tracking contracts, budgets, or deliverables
- Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and print production processes
- Experience working in or supporting a studio environment, including managing or maintaining media equipment
- Ability to contribute to concept development, such as drafting video scripts, project briefs, or creative presentations
- Portfolio demonstrating video, motion, and/or graphic design work
Location: Washington, D.C. (In-office 3 days a week)
