The Senior Contract Manager will drive bookings and revenue growth by leading front-end commercial negotiations and closing high-value deals across the renewable energy and data center markets. This role is focused on customer-facing deal execution and does not include supplier management.
This role will accelerate the sales cycle, shape advantageous contract terms, and balance commercial opportunities with effective risk mitigation. The ideal candidate brings strong negotiation skills, business and financial acumen, and a track record of structuring and closing complex, high-impact agreements. Success requires deep sector knowledge and the ability to partner effectively with internal teams and external customers to advance strategic growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Enablement and Revenue Growth:
- Accelerate deal closure by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements including NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, EPC, licensing, long term service and supplier agreements.
- Partner across departments to structure deals that maximize revenue while managing acceptable risk levels.
Commercial Operations and Deal Support:
- Support deal desk operations by analyzing pricing proposals, assessing commercial risks, and optimizing contract terms for profitability.
- Streamline contract workflows and approval processes using contract lifecycle management tools to reduce time-to-signature.
Sales Enablement and Process Optimization:
- Train and enable Sales team members in contract processes, negotiation strategies, and best practices to improve win rates.
- Develop processes that accelerate deal velocity while maintaining commercial protection.
- Provide commercial guidance on contractual opportunities, competitive positioning, and deal structuring to management and sales teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Law, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in commercial contract management, preferably in renewable energy, energy infrastructure and data center sectors.
Core Competencies
- Front-end sales deal-making expertise with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Commercial acumen with understanding of EPC, O&M, and supply agreement structures.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Experience supporting Sales teams and working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, DocuSign, MS Office Suite and contract management platforms.
- Business-focused understanding of commercial law, intellectual property, and data privacy as they impact deal structure.
