Fulfillment Supervisor
Description

Job Summary:

  

Reporting to the Fulfillment Manager, the Fulfillment Supervisor is responsible for managing all the activities related to the fulfillment process. These duties include but are not limited to product fabrication, order preparation, order collation and packaging, and shipment processing and manifesting. This individual will also be responsible for workflow management, and organization for the fulfillment workspace.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  

  • Continued development and management of cohesive workflow process
  • Ensure correct work is flowing through department in an accurate, efficient and timely fashion
  • Communication of production schedule priorities within the department
  • Prioritize, facilitate & expedite all production activities ensuring they are consistent with customer needs (due dates)
  • Ensure accuracy & completeness of reporting tools
  • Monitor collection methods, accuracy and reporting frequency for all metrics and data for improvement
  • Accurate & timely collection and analysis of data used to measure process improvement and  workflow management against established department metrics (Daily, weekly, monthly and annually)
  • Continued development and process improvement including but not limited to: Workflow system development
  • Recommendation and  development of future automated order picking systems and processes
  • Benchmark & track the latest shipping systems and small package delivery service options with the intent on minimizing freight expense to GSP and our customers
  • Develop and provide regular status updates to the pertinent personnel and senior management
  • Ensure the positive and required interaction between Fulfillment & other departments
  • Refine, communicate, and manage to the department  policies and procedures
  • Establish and monitor all training (New and existing) activities for the department

  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Work scheduled mandatory weekends and overtime 
  • Build effective relationships and build an effective team
  • Work well with a team and contribute positively to GSP culture 


Physical demands:

  • PC/Keyboard: Working on computers, using keyboards and viewing screens
  • Standing: Standing for entire assigned shift 
  • Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (Includes upward pulling) of up to 50 lbs
  • Carrying: Transporting an object, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder 
  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Talking: Verbal communication including giving instruction and exchanging information with necessary detail and delivery Hearing: Communication including listening to people convey instructions or conversation, and distinguishing noises from machines and within the plant
