PROMAN Skilled Trades is seeking a high-performing National Business Development Manager to drive business development and strategic account growth across the United States. This role will focus on securing and expanding large-scale construction, industrial, and infrastructure projects requiring skilled trades workforce solutions.
The National Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing relationships with national general contractors, EPC firms, and multi-state construction organizations, positioning PROMAN as a preferred workforce partner for complex, high-volume projects.
This is a strategic, hunter-focused role with national reach.
This position is to be based out of Southern United States.
Key Responsibilities
National Business Development
- Identify, pursue, and secure large-scale construction projects nationwide.
- Develop and execute a national sales strategy targeting major GCs, industrial contractors, and infrastructure developers.
- Generate new business through networking, industry events, referrals, and strategic outreach.
- Lead contract negotiations and service agreements.
Strategic Account Management
- Build long-term partnerships with national and multi-state construction firms.
- Coordinate with operations and recruiting teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Maintain consistent communication with key decision-makers.
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing national accounts.
Project & Workforce Planning
- Collaborate with internal recruiting leadership to forecast workforce demand.
- Align staffing strategy with client timelines, scopes, and safety requirements.
- Support pricing strategy and margin targets.
Market & Industry Leadership
- Maintain strong knowledge of national construction trends, labor markets, and industry challenges.
- Represent PROMAN at trade associations and industry functions.
- Monitor competitor activity and market positioning.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales experience in construction, industrial staffing, or workforce solutions.
- Proven track record securing large-scale, multi-state construction projects.
- Strong relationships within the construction industry (GCs, EPC firms, project executives).
- Experience negotiating national service agreements.
- Ability to travel nationally as needed.
- Strong understanding of skilled trades workforce dynamics.
Preferred:
- Experience in construction staffing or industrial workforce solutions.
- Background working with national or enterprise-level accounts.
