Description

The National WWII Museum is currently seeking a World War II Media Center Intern. This is a hands-on opportunity to help tell the powerful stories of the men and women who served during World War II—while developing real-world media and storytelling skills. Interns gain meaningful experience contributing to mission-driven content while learning from professionals dedicated to preserving and sharing WWII history. This internship offers exposure to museum media production, archival storytelling, and public history outreach.

Requirements
  • Historical research and fact-checking
  • Script writing and narrative development
  • Storytelling for digital platforms
  • Podcast production and audio editing
  • Video production and non-linear editing
  • Social media content creation and management

Qualifications

  • Current college students or recent college graduates
  • Interest in World War II history and storytelling
  • Eager to learn and collaborate in a fast-paced creative environment
  • Experience or coursework in media, film, journalism, communications, history, or related fields (preferred, not required)

Internship Duration

• Total Hours: 240 hours (20hrs/week for 12 weeks during June-August)

• Schedule: Flexible, coordinated with the WWII Media department and academic requirements (if applicable)
