ABOUT THE POSITION
OAM + i’move is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Orthopaedic Trauma team. This role provides professional medical care under physician supervision, focusing on outpatient evaluation, treatment, and follow-up of orthopaedic trauma patients in a busy clinic environment. You will be instrumental in delivering efficient, high-quality care, supporting both surgical and non-surgical patients while helping streamline clinic flow.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform patient histories, physical exams, and focused orthopaedic evaluations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions
- Order and interpret imaging and diagnostic studies
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
- Provide patient education on injuries, recovery, and treatment options
- Perform in-office procedures (casting, splinting, bracing, suturing, injections)
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative care, including follow-ups
- Document accurately and efficiently in EMR systems
- Prescribe medications in accordance with Michigan law and practice guidelines
- Support clinic efficiency by organizing patient flow and care coordination
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams
- Participate in occasional surgical assisting and hospital coordination as needed
- Skills & Competencies: Strong clinical judgment, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a patient-centered mindset.
- Education & Experience: Physician Assistant degree from an accredited program, NCCPA certification, and active Michigan PA license (or eligibility) required; prior experience in orthopaedics, emergency medicine, or trauma preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and assist patients throughout the day; occasional lifting up to 30 lbs; exposure to clinical environments including bodily fluids and medical equipment.
