Welder
Description

We are looking for a capable person to join our team as a Welder. Daily tasks include operating appropriate equipment to assemble structural components or parts with great precision. This position is essential as it provides the foundation for quality equipment. The ideal candidate will have a steady hand and great attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Read blueprints and drawings

Take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures

Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements

Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material with powered saws or plasma cutter to match measurements)

Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded

Align components using a tape measure, square, and a level

Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead)

Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws

Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Communicate with team members to effectively complete projects

Creative problem-solving abilities

Requirements

Experience as a welder is a plus but not required

Experience using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.)

Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.)

Knowledge of a variety of welding equipment and procedures (GTAW, FCAW, or GMAW)

Professional Certification (e.g., an AWS welding certificate) will be a major plus but not required
