Description

Reporting to Manager of IT Innovation, the Innovation Project Analyst works with the rest of the Information Technology and Innovation team to design, develop, improve, and maintain Advocare’s IT’s systems and applications. This position focuses mainly on implementing solutions crucial to Advocare’s goal of providing innovative and user- friendly access to its EHR. Additionally, the Innovation Project Analyst will provide recommendations and assist with the development and implementation of solutions in response to the expanding needs of the EHR and its users. Using their prior IT and Project Management experience, this position will turn our end user and patient needs into intuitive tools within our applications.

Essential Functions:

· Participates in the implementation, configuration, and support of the eClinicalWorks EMR solutions and functionality

· Engages Operational and Clinical leadership to understand business needs and identify technology solutions to address them

· Identifies ways to improve business operations through processes and technology

· Develops, implements, and monitors comprehensive project management plans as necessary

· Assists in training and development of staff

· Assists in designing, planning, and implementing clinical projects and new programs/services/functionality

· Documents standards, procedures, and guidelines for the configuration and use of the eClinicalWorks EMR

· Assists Advocare’s leadership with optimization of the eClinicalWorks EMR

· Assists in the integration of ancillary systems and biomedical devices into the eClinicalWorks EMR

· Develops, implements, and monitors system enhancements related to clinical policies and guidelines ·

· Works collaboratively with Sr. Management team to provide feedback and solutions to physician concerns regarding the clinical policies and best practices

· Demonstrate superb communication and human relationship skills

· Provide recommendations for improvements in processes

· Other duties as assigned

· High level understanding of the purpose and function of an ambulatory and or acute EMR application

· Familiarity with the operations of various information systems present in a hospital/laboratory and the type of data each one processes

· Familiarity with HL7 interfaces

· Familiarity with Clinical Application Security

· Strong ability in problem solving and malfunction diagnosing with a firm dedication to quality

· Excellent customer service skills

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities


Work Environment:

This position is remote. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30

a.m. to 5:30 p.m.


Travel:

This position requires no travel.


Required Education and Experience:

· Associate's degree in Information Systems, Healthcare IT or related field and/or equivalent experience.

· 3+ years experience supporting an ambulatory/acute EMR

· 3+ years experience managing vendor relationships

· 3+ years experience with Project Management


Preferred Education and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in Information System, Healthcare IT or related field and/or equivalent experience.

· eClinicalWorks experience a plus

· eClinicalWorks certification a strong plus

· PMP Certification
