Main Purpose:
The Quality Control (QC) Document Controller is responsible for tasks including document control, data entry, filing and copying. This position will maintain project document control by updating and distributing manufacturing drawings, specifications, vendor information, cut lists and other related documents.
Essential Functions:
- Control and distribute all “controlled” documentation associated with the generator enclosures project
- Prepare work folders compiled of drawings, Bill of Material (BOM) cut lists, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) received from Engineers, ensuring the establishment and maintenance of priority sequences based off production schedules
- Scan and file completed SOPs after processed by the QC Inspector Lead
- Maintain an organized system to track distribution and return status of documents
- Ensure all documents follow established document-control procedures, including correct numbering, revision control, version tracking and secure storage
- Participate in improving document-control workflows to increase accuracy, accessibility and efficiency
- Collaborate with QC Inspectors, Leads, Supervisors and various departments
- Notify your supervisor of any QC document discrepancies, issues, efficiencies etc.
- Deliver documents to all departments involved in the development of the projects as needed
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years experience in QC Document Control
- 1+ years experience within a heavy manufacturing industry
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to develop priorities and maintain organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Must be able to pass a background check
Desirable Experience, Education and Training:
- Previous experience in QC Document Control for a generator enclosure or similar project
Tools, Equipment and Technology:
- Computer and office equipment
Environmental Conditions:
This role is located in an office environment. 5 to 10% of the work activities are performed outdoors. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet and dry conditions, dust, mud etc. They will also be exposed to paint thinner and paint fumes.
