Position Description: Cloud Security Engineer – Contingent Pipeline Opportunity – We’re building a talent pipeline for upcoming U.S. Government defense IT and analytics support roles. Opportunities are contingent upon task order awards and funding under existing contracts.
Location: Remote
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain cloud security controls in AWS and Azure environments in support of Enhanced Domain Awareness systems.
- Ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and DoD IL 2/4/5 security requirements.
- Configure and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions and enforce least-privilege access.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and support remediation activities across cloud-hosted resources.
- Monitor cloud environments using SIEM and cloud-native security tools to detect and respond to threats.
- Support Zero Trust architecture and continuous monitoring initiatives.
- Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, and application teams to integrate security into the development and deployment lifecycle.
- Duties and responsibilities may change based on program needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or a related field OR five (5) years of equivalent cloud security engineering experience.
- Experience implementing cloud security frameworks and controls.
- Hands-on experience configuring IAM solutions in cloud environments.
- Experience conducting vulnerability assessments in cloud platforms.
- Experience with SIEM tools and cloud security monitoring solutions.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture.
- Ability to support systems in compliance with NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and DoD IL 2/4/5.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience supporting DoD, Combatant Command, or Intelligence Community environments.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps and securing CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with container and Kubernetes security.
- Knowledge of automated compliance and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security scanning.
- Experience with incident response in cloud environments.
Certifications:
- Required: None
- Preferred: CISSP, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
Clearance Requirement:
- Must have an active Secret Security Clearance.
- Candidate must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
