Position Description: Geospatial Solutions Architect – Contingent Pipeline Opportunity – We’re building a talent pipeline for upcoming U.S. Government defense IT and analytics support roles. Opportunities are contingent upon task order awards and funding under existing contracts.
Location: Remote
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement geospatial solutions to support visualization, analysis, and decision-making
- Develop and maintain mapping services, spatial data pipelines, and operational dashboards
- Integrate geospatial data into cloud-based applications and platforms
- Build interactive maps and visualization tools for end users
- Perform spatial analysis, remote sensing, and support geospatial AI/ML applications
- Ensure data accuracy, performance, and scalability of geospatial solutions
- Collaborate with data, analytics, and engineering teams to align geospatial capabilities with mission needs
- Troubleshoot and optimize GIS applications and services
- Duties and responsibilities may change based on program needs
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, or related field
- OR five years of equivalent experience in geospatial architecture or GIS development
- Experience developing GIS solutions using tools such as ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms
- Experience integrating geospatial data into cloud-based applications
- Strong understanding of geospatial data formats, mapping services, and spatial analysis
- Experience performing spatial analysis, remote sensing, and supporting geospatial AI/ML applications
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience supporting cloud-based geospatial architectures
- Experience with APIs and geospatial data services
- Experience supporting federal or regulated environments
- Experience integrating geospatial data with analytics or data platforms
Certifications:
- Required: None
- Preferred: ESRI technical certification, GIS Professional GISP
