The vision of the JLRNA Technical Center is to deliver a world-class service. We are hiring for a Workshop Supervisor - Jaguar Technical Center, with the following duties:
Duties:
- Comply with health and safety standards and maintain a safe work environment in the Technical Center.
- Maintain shop cleanliness and follow published 5S standards.
- Maintain a professional relationship with JLRNA employees and supplier personnel.
- Maintain and use equipment in Technical Center to operational standard.
- Take reasonable precautions to protect company vehicles.
- Ensure training requirements, as outlined by JLRNA, are completed successfully on time.
- Maintain JLRNA’s Key Track System.
- Co-ordinate the collection of disposable items (e.g. tires, oil, and scrap metal).
Responsibilities:
- Ensure operational readiness before start of shift.
- Supervise Workshop Administrator, Technicians, Porter, and Detail Service.
- Clearly identify work assignments and ensure these are communicated in daily/ weekly start-up meetings to Workshop Administrator, Technicians, Porter, and Detail Service with clear instructions on expected results/ outcome and time of completion.
- Manage day-to-day administrative tasks/ matters for SUPPLIER personnel.
- Develop and maintain KPI reporting metrics from DMS or other data sources such as workshop utilization, technician’s productivity and efficiency, work-in-progress, parts inventory, open repair orders, warranty claim ageing and others as determined by JLRNA.
- Liaise with relevant departments to schedule/ prioritize company vehicles for defect diagnosis/ rework/ maintenance/ rework validation.
- Support vehicle preparation for press events.
- Open and close repair orders to bill for parts, labor, and sublets on vehicles which go through the Technical Center.
- Collect auto body rework estimates and submit to JLR Technical Center Manager for review/approval.
- Co-ordinate vehicle rework with sublet supplier partners.
- Order and bill service parts as required from JLRNA and suppliers.
- Set up, manage and maintain parts inventory system in Technical Center.
- Return excess or unused parts as required to parts distribution centers for credit.
- Use Master Part Number Register to identify parts for rework and parts ordering.
- Work closely with JLRNA Service Parts Team to provide feedback when parts and catalogue issues are identified.
- Support any other daily requirements as determined by JLRNA.
Requirements
Requirements:
- College degree preferred but not required.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is strongly preferred.
Salary Description
85,000 - 95,000
