Summary:
The Internship will support IYF's reputation as a tech forward organization that engages young people meaningfully in our digital product development, responsible AI policy work, and AI for Career Development Coalition building. The Intern will have the opportunity to engage professionals beyond IYF in the workforce and career development space via the AI for Career Development Coalition.
Location: US/Remote
Internship Responsibilities:
- Edit existing video content related to AI, the workforce, and youth for external audiences
- Create original video content capturing personal reflections on AI, as well as perspectives from peers
- Conduct desk research and interviews to develop reports on trends in AI for career development
- Manage administrative tasks (e.g., file editing, scheduling) for no more than 25% of total time.
Internship Requirements (Undergraduate or Graduate Students)
- Anyone who's completed 1 full year of higher education. While candidates from any specialty are encouraged to apply, we imagine this role being most well suited for students interested in policy, political science, sociology, economics, communications, or marketing or related disciplines.
- Strong communication skills, an intermediate or higher level of Spanish, and familiarity with or knowledge of a culture outside the United States are valued, although they are not essential requirements.
- Experience with video editing and being on camera and developing content.
- Actively follow news related to: AI policies, technology releases, and the impact of AI on the labor market.
- Substantial experience using AI in personal and/or academic settings and willingness to participate in discussions about AI and share personal perspectives.
- Availability
- Ability to commit 30 hours per week for the duration of the internship (schedule flexible based on academic commitments).
- Must be during one of the following time periods:
- July 13 - August 21
